Education and Experience

Michael graduated from the University of Missouri in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Marketing and General Business Administration.  In 1970, he joined the United States Air Force.  After training, he was assigned as a helicopter pilot with the 31st Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Squadron stationed at Clark Air Force Base, Philippines.  After a tour with the Alaskan Air Command at Elmendorf, Alaska he separated from the Air Force in 1975.


He returned to the University of Missouri to pursue additional education earning a major in accounting.  After graduation, he joined a large regional CPA firm and remained there until 1979.  During that time, he passed the CPA examination and gained his permit to practice as a Certified Public Accountant.  In 1979, he moved to the Lake of the Ozarks area.  In 1981 he opened his own CPA practice which remains in public practice to this date in Camdenton, Missouri.  Subsequently, he expanded his practice to the city of Sunrise Beach.  His firm remains as the area's oldest CPA practice under the same management.


In 1998, Stacey joined Michael's firm as a staff accountant after graduating from Central Missouri State University.  In 2001, she also passed the CPA examination and gained her permit to practice as a Certified Public Accountant.  She is now managing the Sunrise Beach office for the firm. 


Between Michael and Stacey, they have over 51 years as practicing Certified Public Accountants.
